If there is one thing that never changes, it’s my daily need to keep. it. simple. And ESPECIALLY in the warmer months. Over the last few months I have found myself reaching for the same products everyday, so I thought it might be worth a share.
SKINCARE:
I will start by saying as I have gotten older my skin has become super sensitive. So when I land on skincare that works and also doesn’t irritate my skin, I become a lifer. And when my Los Angeles esthetician, Shani Darden, turned me on to IsClinical for vitamin c, I have never looked back. I trade off between their active serum and their pro heal. I like both for different reasons and when I started using vitamin c in my am/pm routine, I really noticed my skin looking much brighter. And speaking of Shani, I am deeply passionate about her Rescue Serum.
I have rosacea and pretty reactive skin, so this product has been so beneficial to calming things down a bit. Then I layer on One Skin Topical Supplement and follow with Barefaced tinted SPF. I also LOVE One Skin’s eye cream! And when I need a little extra under eye love I swipe on Dr. Melaxin’s multi balm stick. This may seem like a lot of steps, but I breeze through it in a few minutes and that leaves me with a couple to finish the look.
MAKE-UP
This part is a simple as it gets. A little concealer, physicians formula cheek stain with a light layer of Chanel’s Water-Fresh Blush over it, and a quick swipe of Armani liquid eyeshadow in Cashew.
Please note, there hasn’t been a single makeup product I have come across that I feel more strongly about than this product. It’s SO easy. A few strokes of the wand and you have a full eye look that requires zero skill or effort. I then reach for my Makeup by Mario cream bronzer to add a little dimension and a swipe of mascara.
Then I finish with One Skin’s SPF Lip Shield in bare blush.
All-in-all I’m done in less than 5 minutes and I’m walking out the door with nourished, protected, and fresh looking skin. Keeping things simple is vital these days and these products truly never fail me!
What are you secret weapons to looking put together in less than 5?
Xx,
Jo

I really don’t have anything other than foundation. However, lately I’ve been skipping the foundation because it way too hot. I know, I know! It’s daring but it’s hot!!! Makeup vs weather 😅
